First aid will be provided by St John Ambulance.
Participants must obey Police, SES and Traffic Warden instructions at all times. Participants may be asked to move off the course for safety reasons or if they are obstructing the clear passage of official vehicles.
Presentations & Finish Area
All finishers (12km, 7km & 2.7km events) will finish on the Grass on the waterfront point area infront of the Wrest Point Casino Tower. This will certainly create a unique and exciting finish area and brings everyone together as our finish line / hub and spectator / presentations area all using the one beautiful space, it will certainly be an unbelievable atmosphere. We look forward to sharing this new finish experience with you all for the first time this year.
Presentations will be conducted on the Wrest Point waterfront lawn this year. Winners will be presented with prizes at 9:30am.
Also on the waterfront lawn area, we will have your drinks and fruit, together with entertainment including the Jack Jumpers Hoop Trailer, DJ Nick Corney, coffee truck (Gert and Ted) and a BBQ put on by the Fahan Sailing Club.
We have lots of fantastic spot prizes to be drawn, so make sure you are there to collect.
The Running Edge Schools Challenge
This includes primary & secondary schools & Colleges and parents who have joined the school team are also included in the schools overall team number.
- $500 will be awarded to the school with the most participants
- $250 "second chance" random draw prize will also be held with all entered schools involved and the winning school will receive $250
* Note the school that wins the "most participants prize" is not included in second chance random draw. We want to share the love and encourage as many schools to get entered regardless of your team size.
Buses to Cornelian Bay and MyState Bank Arena will leave Wrest Point carpark at 7am sharp. Parking is available on the top level of the Wrest Point carpark. Buses will leave Sandy Bay Rd from 9:15am to return to the 7km and 12km starts. There is a fee per person required to board the buses ( $10), this is to help cover the cost of this service. The fee can be paid during the registration process and is for anyone travelling on any bus to or from the event.
